Electric bikes at Sky Ride Leicester

Electric bikes – the fastest growing segment of the cycle sector in the UK – will make their debut this year at Sky Ride Leicester on Sunday 25 August.

Ebike Electric Cycle Centres, based on Granby Street in Leicester city centre, will be demonstrating a wide selection of some of the best and most modern bikes currently available from suppliers such as aleigh, FreeGo, Emotion, and Juicy Bike.
The recent advances in Lithium battery technology have allowed for the development of lighter bikes, smaller batteries and greatly extended range.
Free test rides of everything from ultralight electric folding bikes to high perfomance electric road and mountain bikes will be offered by Ebike Centres all day from their base beside the Leicester Mercury offices.
“We want everyone to have a chance to see and try the new generation of electric bikes. Whether for work, leisure or business use they offer a powerful and practical alternative to the car” says Liam Dunphy, Managing Director of Ebike Centres.
As well as offering free test rides and demonstrations, staff will be available to offer advice to businesses and employees about the ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme throughout the day.
