The Hawk crossbar is a very easy bike to handle, with 26″ wheels making it quick but maneuverable. Durable, puncture resistant tyres, inflated to 65psi, offer low rolling resistance and great range. The Hawk crossbar has seven well spaced gears including an excellent ultra-low ‘Mega-range’, which allows easier climbing even without power.

Fully equipped with extra-brite front and rear LED lights, mudguards and rear carrier rack this is a bike which will cope with all weather conditions; summer and winter.

Safety and security are important, and the Hawk crossbar has a rear LED brake light to warn motorists when you are slowing down or stopping. The Samsung battery is lockable, and the bike also comes with a useful rear wheel lock for occasions when you just want to secure your bike for a moment.

Who buys the FreeGo Hawk crossbar?

This is a very popular bike with commuters. It is a ‘cadence’ type’ electric bike, which means that they can commute four miles to work in little over 15 minutes without raising a sweat. This bike is also popular with leisure cyclists who like cycling but don’t like hills, as this bike is powerful enough to handle most hills without effort.

A robust aluminium frame, which is guaranteed for 4 years, is complemented by a powerful and reliable Samsung Lithium ion battery which is guaranteed for 2 years. The electrics and motor are warrantied for 1 year. A comfortable saddle and upright riding position make the FreeGo Hawk an ideal leisure and commuter bike; especially as it is keenly priced to fall just inside the ‘cycle to work scheme’ limits.

Five powers of pedal assist allow you to choose how easily you want to power up those hills. If you like to arrive at work fresh and relaxed you can power along at a full 15.5mph on high without raising a sweat, but if you feel the need to put in more effort or have a ‘work out’ there are seven well spaced gears to help you along.

The FreeGo Hawk crossbar electric bike is available as a crossbar and  the FreeGo Hawk step-through. Both have a powerful 36v Samsung battery combined with the robust frame; most bikes in this price bracket only come with 24/26v battery making this bike exceptional value for money! If you are looking for a higher specification version of the FreeGo Hawk the you could do no better than the siperb FreeGo Eagle.

Freego Hawk - Crossbar and step through My wife and I have been looking to do some exercise together and saw, by chance, an electric assisted bike. We tried one each and loved it so went on to research more which would be best for us. Having visited many bike shops we came across EBike in Leicester online and saw the good reviews so paid them a visit. From entering the shop Liam and the team were very helpful. We explained which bikes we wanted to see (free go Hawk) and they went on to explain in great detail about the bikes and how they work. They are extremely knowledgable on the bikes and took great time to ensure we understood and no massive sales pitch. The bikes themselves (Freego Hawk Crossbar and Step through) are very good value for the level of equipment you get with them (lights, stand and wheel lock). They are very strong and have a sturdy construction and look really good. Its nice having the battery pack in the centre of the bike as it makes it more balanced. We have been using the bikes for around a month and love them. They help get up the hills with ease and so easy to use. You can have as much or as little assistance as you need or want and you can really feel the difference. It makes cycling a pleasure again and we are planning to use them much more over the coming months. I had a little issue with the display not working but took it back and it was changed within 5 minutes and working again. No quibbles. I can't recommend the Freego Hawk and the Ebike team more.

FreeGo Hawk - Excellent ! Brought my freego hawk crossbar one month ago having taken out two different models for a test ride. Keith and Liam are very friendly, knowledgeable and insisted that before buying I took a test ride. Needed a bike that would cover the 20 miles to work and back each day and thanks to the spot on advice I chose just the right model. Strong well built, easy to use and powerful enough to do hills. Easily covers 3 journeys (30 miles) with plenty to spare before charging. Have to say that you arrive at work feeling great and no need to run for the shower to peel off the sweaty lycra! You can put as much or as little effort in as you wish when riding, clearly the more effort the further you can go. One unexpected bonus is that I feel fitter and have lost a little weight and look forward to the ride home every day ...come rain or shine ! Very pleasedand everything about the bike and the customer service is excellent.

On recommendation from Keith and Liam i decided to get a FreeGo Hawk crossbar with a 10ah battery (Red). It is very well constructed and solid. The component parts are top notch. The general handling is good, and is fine for daily use. As an entry level bike for anyone new to e-bikes I would recommend it. It is a bit heavier than a normal bike but that is to be expected given the construction and battery. However, in use that is not a problem as the motor kicks in and it flies - hills are easily tackled. Advice from Liam and Keith is excellent; both are helpful and knowledgeable on all matters e-bike related.

Fantastic, all-round I love my bike! After getting a new job 6 miles from home and struggling with buses that only took me halfway (and none on Sundays or Bank Holidays...) and then struggling with my old pushbike in the wind and rain and dark early mornings/late nights this took all the worry and strain away. But as I also do like to pedal a lot of the time and it has helped to keep me fit and the weigh down. Ah - but with the motor going, you're not pushing anything like you would on a 'normal' bike. And of course, you don't have to pedal at all if you don't want to. The bike itself is so smart and striking looking, I get nice comments from both people I know and strangers too. I don't blame them, I'd almost be jealous to see somebody with one of these, did I not own an Ebike... As to the people that run and work in the shop - do they know their stuff? You bet! And nothing is any trouble to them; I should know because I've brought it in for them to look at a couple of times, due to me being clumsy. :) Thank you, fellas. Apart from being so helpful, they are very friendly and polite. I am grateful for all they have done and continue to do. 10/10.

As someone who has both Arthritis and carries a lot of tools for work. The Hawk has proven its ability to handle anything thrown at it. I ride daily and despite its battery depleting earlier during the winter months, it has not failed me. I do not drive, so rely on my bike keeping the money coming in. I am so impressed with this work horse, I am now considering purchasing a sports version for long fun rides. Would definitely recommend the Hawk to anyone considering leaving the car home and carrying equipment on your back.

Bought my Hawk Crossbar 7 weeks ago. I was looking for something strong, that could take alot of weight fo my work, in other words, I was looking for a work horse, I found it in the Hawk. This bike is amazing. Despite the weight I through on it, it will tackle hills like they dont exist. Even when swiched off the first gear blow me away, could not believe how easy it was riding. I was skepticle. Now I'm a fan, and despite its adviced range of 30miles, on some occasions I've clocked up 50 to 60.
