ImmobiTag bike security tag now offered in Leicester with free fitting
Security is a worry for some bike owners. Ebike Centres in Leicester city centre are pleased to announce that they can now offer the ImmobiTag security tag for bicycles with free fitting at their Granby Street shop.

The ImmobiTag security chip is a radio frequency chip which, once fitted inside the frame of a bicycle, is virtually impossible to remove. Each tag has a unique signal which can be detected at close range by a special scanner. The scanner displays the tags ID number, and this can be traced by the police to the name of the bicycle’s owner.
This greatly increases the chances that, if recovered, a stolen bicycle will be returned to its owner. It also helps police to identify stolen bicycles and prosecute thieves. This should help in the fight against cycle theft, which has reached epidemic proportions in Leicester city centre with 515 bikes being reported stolen last year.
