Mountsorrel customer takes delivery of her new E-Trilogy electric trike
Electric tricycles are already proving a hit with Ebike Customers in Leicester. The first customer to take our demonstration trike for a test ride from our Granby Street showroom loved it, and their gleaming brand new E-Trilogy arrived this week.
“One question though… how to get it the 8 miles to Mountsorrel?”
This was easily resolved when we volunteered to ride it up! (We were secretely hoping to get the chance to try it for ourselves).
The chosen route was through Leicester city centre (with a short photo-stop in Town Hall Square) and out along the A6 past St. Margaret’s Church, Abbey Park, and the National Space Centre. The Redhill and Wanlip roudabouts were a doddle, and bemused motorists kindly gave their unusual fellow rush-hour commuter a wide berth!
Leaving the A6 at Rothley we arrived at our destination in only 40 minutes purely on throttle power, and to our surprise we only used 40% of our battery.
Our opinion: Fantastic fun! For a cyclist it takes some getting used to. But once you get the hang of it we found the E-Trilogy to be a lot of fun. We wish the new owner many years of happy triking!
