Leicester Mayor Peter Soulsby gives ‘thumbs up’ to electric bikes
Staff and customers at Ebike Centres electric bike showroom on Granby Street were yesterday pleased to meet Leicester Mayor Peter Soulsby as he took time out to officially open their city centre store.
Following an inspection of the sales area and workshop he happily agreed to try out two of their most popular demonstration bikes; the FreeGo Eagle and the Emotion City 700.
After two full circuits of Ebike Centres’ “test route” he eagerly headed up London Road, managing the whole stretch from the railway station to Victoria Park without missing a breath!
We are satisfied to report yet another ‘Ebike Enthusiast’, and we wish the Mayor all the best in his ambition to make Leicester a great ‘Cycle City’.
